Abstract

Language learning, especially speaking skills, is an important aspect in developing language skills. In the context of language classes, teaching speaking often requires innovative and interesting approaches to increase student participation. One solution that is increasingly popular is the use of podcasts as an alternative medium for learning speaking. Podcasts are a form of audio content that can be accessed online, cover a variety of topics, and are often presented in an entertaining style. In this thesis, the researcher will explain how podcasts can be used effectively in speaking classes as a medium that facilitates the development of students' speaking skills. Researchers examined the use of exploring podcasts as an alternative media at Al Kyai Vocational School, with 24 students as subjects. The instruments used in this research were classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. This research uses a qualitative approach to answer the problem. The instruments used in this research were classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. For data validity, researchers used triangulation techniques.
