Abstract

English is very important for communication and mandatory knowledge in Indonesia. According to the syllabus, English is one of the subjects taught to students. And it prioritizes the mastery of four language skills: reading writing listening and speaking. To find out Indonesian EFL Learners' problems in Pronouncing θ and ð consonants. This research is classified into qualitative research. The instruments to collect the data were interviews, observation, and pronunciation tests. The result of this research, an English teacher provides insight into the consonants θ and ð and the challenges faced by English language (ESL) learners in pronouncing them. There are four results from this research, the first is Consonants θ and ð known as "voiceless dental fricatives" and "voiced dental fricatives, Phonetic factor, teaching strategy and Advice for ESL Learners. This research discusses those 4 results.
