Lyrics are the expressions of someone's feelings which are described in
poetic sentences. The lyrics are short. Syi'ir wrote by the author about human
beings to express deep feelings. The problem of this study is how the history and
the dynamics of figure of speech in literary theory and how the types and
meanings that are exist in Adfaita song lyrics, directored by Syekh Misyari Rosyid
Al afasy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The data
analysis is literary review, which analyse the figure of speech used in Adfaita song
lyrics.
The results of the study in the analysis of Adfaita song lyrics are: the story
of the development and the dynamics of figure of speech began from the era of
Aristoteles, which was developed by Ferdinand de Sausse in the 11th Century. As
time as go on, this theory is developed by Leech and Short. They states that figure
of speech is a way to use language in a certain context, by certain people and for
certain purpose. However, in Adfaita song lyrics, it is found some figures of
speech. They are: ابغسن العبقا, كاللفظ فالورد تضوع كأعتنقا، كاللفظ طهره فلب يحػوم
نزقا، كاللفظ للهادم، كاللفظ بُ جنة خلد، كاللفظ مرسىلو، أكر من، كاللفظ كسراج
النور، كاللفظ خلق القرآف . Then, this song use mursal and istiaroh figure of speech.
